Whitewood charges a fuel surcharge on all shipments while fuel costs exceed $1.70 per gallon. FSC is predicted based on the Department of Energy’s published fuel prices by region. Whitewood typically adjusts FSC weekly, but reserves the right to adjust daily with sudden spikes in fuel cost.
Typically we know in advance if escorts will be needed and charges are included in the rate quote. If there is a change of conditions (unknown conditions including weather and road contruction) you will be notified as soon as possible.
Whitewood is familiar with most state regulations and typically is able to adjust to state needs and requirements.
We can locate your shipment on a Whitewood truck within 100 feet at any given time and communicate directly with the driver.
It depends on whether or not a truck has been dispatched. Applicable charges will apply.

Absolutely not. Our Owner Operators can choose their loads as well as their availability to work without penalty.

Depending on the equipment you pull, our fleet averages approximately 2,500 miles per week. This includes multi-axle lowboys, flatbeds and stepdecks.

Some operators work locally. Our long haul operators are typically out no more than three weeks at a time. This decision is left primarily up to you, though we typically wouldn’t want to see you out for three weeks.

All carriers must sign our contract. We pay 28 days from receipt of your required paperwork.
A signed Bill of Lading by consignee, a copy of our rate confirmation, and an invoice.
Yes. We offer 7 and 15 day quick pay options for a nominal fee.
A signed, unaltered Whitewood Contract Carrier Agreement, a copy of your operating authority, carrier profile, W-9, and an insurance certificate with minimum coverages of $1,000,000 general/auto liability and $100,000 cargo.
Yes. Our bond is held at First Interstate Bank in Billings, Montana.
Yes, but we still need the original, signed Bill of Lading. Document imaged copies are acceptable if stamped as such by the document imaging company.
